Can we daydream for a minute?

Hey Reader,

Let's dream together for a minute.

I want you to think about your dream trip.

Not the vague "I'd love to go to Italy someday" version. I mean the real one, the one you picture when you're stuck in a Monday meeting or doom scrolling through someone else's vacation photos before bed.

Most people think the dream trip is a budget problem.

"I just need to save up enough money."

But in my experience taking several of my own dream trips, and helping others plan theirs, the real blockers are almost never JUST money. They're:

→ Clarity (Where, exactly? For how long? With who? What mindset shifts do you need to make this a reality?)

→ Timing (When does this actually fit your life?)

→ Tradeoffs (What are you willing to prioritize to make it happen?)

Think about it this way: a week in Paris and three months slow-traveling Southeast Asia are both "dream trips," but they require completely different planning, budget strategies, and life logistics. One is a sprint. The other is a lifestyle shift.

Dream-trip thinking means getting honest about what you actually want and then reverse-engineering how to get there. Points and miles are just one piece of the puzzle (a really fun piece, but still just a piece).

In the coming weeks, I want to start helping you build toward YOUR specific dream, not just generic "how to travel cheap" advice.

But first, I need to know what we're working with.

So hit reply and tell me: What's your dream trip?

Don't just say a place. Tell me the vibe. Is it two weeks in Japan in the fall? A month-long slow travel through Portugal? A family trip to the Maldives before the kids get too old?

The more specific, the better. I read every reply and I just might feature your trip in a future newsletter with tips on how to make it happen (with your permission, of course).

Talk soon,

Michelle
