What could you do with 100k points?

Hello Reader! I'm back!

A little update on newsletter schedule moving forward:

I've been a little busy trying to jam pack everything into summer, and wanted to let you know that I'll be moving to an every other week newsletter publication for a while.

A little update on what I've been up to lately:

Besides all the fun summer things like camping, beach days, and lots of ice cream... I'm training for two super fun physical challenges this summer!

  1. In less than 2 weeks! Peaks to Portland, a 2.4 mile ocean swim from Peaks Island to East End Beach, Portland, Maine. I'm raising money for the YMCA of Southern Maine so more amazing kiddos can get access to swim programs! Donations are wildly appreciated 🫶🏻
  2. In August: The Presidential Traverse, a 3-day 19-mile hike with 8,000+ ft of elevation gain, summiting several of New Hampshire's 4,000 footers in the Presidential Range. It'll be my first ever backpacking adventure!

You can follow my instagram if you want to see more about my training and how each event goes!

And now, let's get into what you can do with 100k points:

My absolute favorite travel credit card, the Chase Sapphire Preferred, is offering one of its highest ever sign-up bonuses (SUB).

Earn 100k points after spending $5,000 within 3 months of card opening.

This was my first ever travel credit card that got me into travel hacking, and it still holds a top spot in my wallet, as well as my husband's wallet.

Even if you have no idea how to transfer points to airline or hotel partners, Chase Ultimate Rewards make it super easy to use those 100k points in their travel portal. Since Chase points are worth 1.25x in the portal, that's at a minimum $1,250 worth of travel just for signing up for the card. You could easily cover a whole trip (flight + hotels) with that amount.

For a $95 annual fee card, this SUB is an incredible value.

But the card offers more than just an awesome SUB, easily negating the annual fee, including:

  • $100 annual hotel credit
  • Free year of Apple TV
  • TSA Pre-Check/ Global Entry credit
  • Complimentary DoorDash DashPass membership
  • International rental car insurance
  • Travel delay/ cancellation/ interruption/ accident insurances

And if you want to stretch your travel budget even further, you can transfer those points to airline and hotel partners for more value.

We won't get into that here. BUT if you do sign up for the card, OR if you already have the a Chase Sapphire card and want to know more about transferring points, reply and let me know. I'll send some great resources your way and would love to work with you to snag some epic deals.

Questions on the card? Happy to answer, just ask away!

Talk soon,

Michelle
